Pan Biyi Paid an Official Visit to Qian Zhongming, Chairman of Chongqing Environmental Protection Investment Group

　　On December 23, a delegation headed by Pan Biyi, Secretary of Party Committee and Chairman of MCC19, paid an official visit to Qian Zhongming, Chairman of Chongqing Environmental Protection Investment Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Chongqing Environmental Protection Investment Group). They exchanged opinions regarding the furtherance of cooperation in city/village/town sewage treatment, “clean water & green riverside” governance and improvement, ecological environmental protection project investment, soil and air governance, among other fields.

　　During the meeting, Pan Biyi extended thanks to Qian Zhongming for his warm welcome and made a brief introduction to the basic information of MCC19. He said, established during the “Third Front Movement” of China, after over 50 years of hard efforts including northward and eastward movements and second venture, MCC19 has gone beyond mountain areas, metallurgy industry and national boundaries and developed into a large-scale comprehensive construction enterprise with three special-grade and eight class-A qualifications with a focus on metallurgy, house building and municipal works. MCC19 has gained profound technical experience and advantages during the process of serving industrialized construction across China and inherited comprehensive capacity system featuring coordination of multiple domains and integration of different disciplines in metallurgical engineering during transformation and development. Over recent years it has undertaken a large number of projects in water environment governance and ecological environmental protection in Guangdong, Sichuan, Jiangsu, etc. Currently, led by EPC and driven by industrialized, green and smart construction industry, the company is committed to building six business systems including metallurgy, transportation, municipal works, house building, environmental protection, underground space and track engineering, with a view to building full-process engineering product service chain and value chain, thus gradually establishing significant enterprise competiveness. He said, as a significant node city in Yangtze River Protection Strategy and an essential pole in the development of Chengdu-Chongqing city cluster, Chongqing has made significant investment in ecological and environmental protection construction. In this background, as a municipal state-owned enterprise of Chongqing, Chongqing Environmental Protection Investment Group fully assumes the livelihood mission of “investment, construction, management and operation” of city/village/town sewage treatment facilities, playing a significant part in the ecological and environmental protection construction field of Chongqing. Pan Biyi stressed that, the cooperation between the two companies seems very promising with great cooperation potential. It’s hoped that Chongqing Environmental Protection Investment Group makes full use of its advantages in operation of environmental protection projects while MCC19 makes full use of its advantages in project investment and construction, with an aim to carry out wide and deep cooperation in city/village/town sewage treatment, “clean water & green riverside” governance and improvement, ecological and environmental protection project investment, soil & air governance, among others.

He said, established in 2015, Chongqing Environmental Protection Investment Group is a solely state-owned enterprise which is funded by Chongqing Municipal Government and supervised by Chongqing Municipal Department of Finance. With business scope basically covering water, soil, hazardous waste and air governance, it is equipped with capabilities related to ecological environmental protection investment & financing, consulting, engineering construction, monitoring & examination, facilities O&M, big data development total factor supply and whole industrial chain services.
